42 Million UK debit card holders

According to the UK card association there is over 42 million debit card holders in the UK. There were over 5.4 billion purchases in 2008 spending £241 billion by debit card users.

Forecasters say these figures will nearly double in the next 10 years as cash and cheques are faded out
